MyFitnessPal has a feature that adjusts your calorie intake based on your activity.
We want to turn this feature OFF so that it does not interfere with our calorie goals and targets.
Here is how to do that:
Step #1) Click on the 3 lines at the top left
Step #2) Scroll down and click on “settings”
Step #3) Find the tab that says “My Goals” or something along those lines (if different on iphone)
Step #4) Scroll down to the section that talks about activity and turn off activity based tracking.
You do NOT need to upgrade or purchase to the premium version of MyFitnessPal although if you would like to have better targets, you can do so and it gives you a lot more features.
Also, you want to make sure to NOT connect your Apple watch or fitbit to MyFitnessPal, you should only connect it to the Trainerize Coaching Platform.
This way MyFitnessPal is used exclusively for tracking nutrition and NOT exercise.
